Lamhaa and Azadi of kashmiri

Finally after 9 months of gap, I got a chance to watch a movie in a multiplex…Dibrugarh finally got a fun republic multiplex. Watched “Lamhaa” on Sunday-A movie by rahul dholakia on Kashmir issue. Just got curious to know what is behind the azadi of kashmiri..

So I googled and now I feel, though I may be wrong, that India is the main culprit for Kashmiri people's miseries. How can India support Palestine for their freedom struggle and at the same time crushed the independence of Kashmiri people???It is cleared from the source http://www.indiatogether.org/peace/kashmir/intro.htm which states

1949: On 5 January 1949, UNCIP (United Nations Commission for India and Pakistan) resolution states that the question of the accession of the State of Jammu and Kashmir to India or Pakistan will be decided through a free and impartial plebiscite. As per the 1948 and 1949 UNCIP resolutions, both countries accept the principle, that Pakistan secures the withdrawal of Pakistani intruders followed by withdrawal of Pakistani and Indian forces, as a basis for the formulation of a Truce agreement whose details are to be arrived in future, followed by a plebiscite;”

India never tried to conduct a free plebiscite and instead as Anupam kher said in Lamhaa “1947 se India Kashmir ke upor election thok te aye huye hain”…

I don’t know who is correct, Anupam kher aka Haji or Kunal kapoor aka Atif.

Whom should I blame: Indian Army for killing innocent Kashmiri youth or militants doing the same thing?

PS: “Lamhaa” is a must NOT watch film, sloppy directions, imaginative scripts… And I am not an informative guy. All above are my perceptions only.

for me...i thnk wots is done cant be undone....we should not luk back to see who when and why....its meaningless....rather we should look forward to help the kashmiri people who in a way having the same problem as the assamese people are having....our government should take some initiative to make these ppl believe dat they do really care...when those areas will be developing the mindset of the native people will also change...Palestine is totally a different issue...the Israeli armed forces far more hostile....back in 1947, situation was quite different...independence after 200 years, division of the country on the basis of religion, making the new structures of countries which never really existed....it was not dat easy...neither for India nor for Pakistan....it was a lot more than wot a newly born country could bear...it all was a kind of civil war....soo rather than blaming one another for everythn dat was done 60 years back, people should put the concentration on development...with development, the change in the attitude of Kashmiri people towards india or whats so ever is enevitable.

@ Parash,
Ya what is done cant be undone..but don't you think the base is wrong ..Its like asking Assamese people to be a part of Bangladesh or asking Palestinian to kneel down to Israelis....How can you think the people of Kashmir, whose brothers and sisters are in Pakistan, can be lured by development and money...And if it is possible then too it would be temporary..Indians before 1947 and Kashmiris even after 1947 have the same thing in common. Both deprived of freedom..Freedom is the ultimate wealth...

My motive is to see both side of the coin, not only from India side...

Basically...u hav 2 see even if a plebiscite is done how fair that would be...
Moreover, u can not take it as an isolated issue...what r the other options u hav?..a Paki Kashmir or a puppet govt controlled by Pak...the bigger issue is that once India loses it they will intrude into Himachal...Kashmir is only an excuse for Indo-Pak conflict...

I don't have an option jita da...But I feel sorry for the sufferings of Kashmiri...They are tortured for no fault of theirs...Hope this menace will end soon,at least in my lifetime..

Hi Raju you must take care of article 370 which clearly state "Indian citizens from other states and Kashmiri women who marry men from other states can not purchase land or property in Jammu & Kashmir" and also some more points for J&K. yeah me too not pleased with what going on in kashmir now a days and far sure nobody will support this.

Raju everyone is aware of the current political scenario of Kashmir. Any ways whoever is on the wrong side its always common people who have to suffer. We are always the scapegoat in all political dramas and tensions. I think what Kashmir need now is of course, peace. And India and Pakistan should try to resolve the issues at earliest.
I haven’t watched the film, so can’t comment on the movie. Well with your reviews it seems that no point of watching the movie, at least in Fun Cinemas. But yes one suggestion to you and all movie freaks : PLEASE WATCH TERE BIN LADEN. It’s a good one; very crisp editing, good script with awesome dialogues, no big stars but very new concept presented in a splendid manner. A total entertainer. At least if you want to have some Fun in Fun Cinema’s go for the movie.
